The first course: "Respiratory support options for neonates from CPAP to EC

The programme consisted of 3 days of lectures given by renowned International experts followed by workshops at: the ECMO centre, the respiratory unit, the neonatal research unit and the NICU ward. 34 participants from 11 countries attended the course.

The programme was similar to the one developed in 2001 with some minor changes and was addressed to Paediatricians with 2 to 5 years' clinical experience in the metabolic field.
